Invitation Design Rounds: Wedding Branding Comes to Life

So, you’ve filled out your invitation design + info forms, sent me your guest list template, and approved your Look Book. The vibes are set, the vision is locked, and now comes the fun part—your Design Round Phase.

01 What to Expect: The Interactive Proof Form ✨
02 The Next Steps 🚀

What to Expect: The Interactive Proof Form for Invitation Design ✨

After booking, your full project timeline uploads straight into your Client Portal. That way, you already know exactly when to expect your first design proof—no guessing games here.

When your proof hits your inbox, you’ll get a digital mockup (aka your interactive proof). It includes every piece of your wedding branding—from save the dates and invitations to all your day-of details. At this stage, you’ll want to roll up your sleeves, grab a magnifying glass, and comb through the details.

To keep your timeline on track, you’ll have 3 business days to review and respond.

I also recommend bringing in a second set of eyes—your partner, planner, or even your BFF who catches typos from a mile away. Together, here’s what you’ll be reviewing:

  • Colors : Screens glow, paper absorbs. Because of this, what you see on screen may look slightly different once printed. On top of that, every paper stock or embellishment takes ink differently. Exact matching isn’t always possible—but trust me, the final result always looks magical.
  • Information : Triple-check names, dates, times, spelling, grammar. Once you approve your proof, it’s considered final. That means if Aunt Linda’s name is spelled wrong and you approve it, Paper Love Spell can’t be held liable.
  • Design Adjustments :Sometimes I tweak the original sketch so the design flows better in real life. If that happens, I’ll include notes explaining why.
  • Revision Rounds : Your package includes two rounds of minor revisions. Extra rounds add $75 each and push your timeline. Larger shifts—like changing your style completely from what you chose in your Look Book—require a full redesign fee of $200. To avoid delays, let’s stick to the creative direction we set together.
  • Typefaces & Fonts :I spend hours curating fonts to match your vibe. That’s my secret sauce, so I don’t disclose font names or sources. The same goes for digital files—your invitations are built to be professionally printed, not DIY printed at home.

The Next Steps after Invitation Design Proofs 🚀

Once you’ve reviewed everything and filled out your Interactive Proof Form, here’s what happens:

If everything looks perfect and you approve for print:

  • You’ll get a Final Print Approval form within 3 business days (M–F).
  • This form requires your signature + your remaining balance paid in full.
  • Once approved, we head into production—aka your designs start becoming physical, tangible works of art.

❌ If you marked “no” on anything:

  • You’ll receive your 2nd design proof within 3 business days (M–F).
  • From there, we finalize your changes and move toward print.
