The Wedding Signature Drink Sign Process: From Info Form to Final Sign 🥂

When we work together on your Day-of Design Service, you’ll fill out two forms:

  • Day-of Info Form → When you book with me, you’ll get a Day-of Details Form that dives into all the fun specifics:
    • What cocktails are on the menu
    • What glassware your bartender is using
    • Key ingredients (hello, lavender syrup moment ✨)
    • Any must-have details that scream you
  • Day-of Design Form → if we’ve already designed your Save the Dates or Invitations, you’ve already set the vibe for your wedding. Now, you’ll receive a new Look Book with concept sketches for your day-of details (like menus, signage, seating charts) that build on your established aesthetic.

From there, you’ll see a general concept sketch of your drink sign during your first design proof. This lets you review the overall direction without getting bogged down in final details. Once the copy and vibe are approved, I create creative drink names for you to choose from (or mix + match with your own ideas). Then we finalize everything in your second proof.

Your signage will feel like a natural extension of your save the dates, invitations, and other day-of details.

Example 1: M + G’s Romeo & Juliet Wedding

For M + G, we pulled directly from their wedding concept: Romeo and Juliet with sacred heart imagery and a moody red & blue color palette. Their invitation suite featured both red and blue accents, so when it came to their wedding signature drink signs, I gave them two design versions. They chose a dramatic red background with sacred heart imagery that matched their reception menus to tie everything together.

Their signature drinks were an Old Fashioned and a French 75. Here’s where the magic happens: your drink names and descriptions. It’s all about giving you fun, on-theme options that elevate your guest bar experience. On their design form, they could pick from options like:

  • For the French 75: Juliet’s Cure, Star-Crossed & Sparkling, Love’s Gentle Spark
  • For the Old Fashioned: The Fateful Pour, Bloodlines & Bitters, Thus With a Sip I Die

They could also submit their own names—but the pre-curated options gave them a fun, thematic way to keep their cocktail hour on-brand.

This form ensures your stationery speaks your love language.

Example 2: N + P’s Cyberpunk Art Deco Wedding

For N + P, their drink signage was designed as an extension of their reception menus and other day-of items. Their design leaned into a cyberpunk-meets-art deco aesthetic, combining futuristic vibes with geometric elegance.

Their venue’s wallpaper even inspired the decorative border of the sign, grounding it in the environment itself. To keep it personal, I layered in playful pink accents—a nod to their love of color and bold details.

The illustrations showcased little easter eggs like their love of hexagons (peep the stir stick on the Old Fashioned and hexgon pattern on the Moscow Mule mug!) The hexagon also matched the Groom’s wedding band!

Why Custom Drink Signs Matter

Guests notice the details. A custom cocktail sign not only makes your bar look incredible but also gives your guests another Instagram-worthy moment. Plus, it makes even your drinks part of your cohesive, branded wedding experience.

Because at the end of the day, your wedding branding should flow from the mailbox to the bar—and every magical touchpoint in between.
