HOW TO GET ON THE 2022 + 2023 DESIGN CALENDAR
Fill out this inquiry form. I will send you a custom proposal to review. Pay your non-refundable 50% retainer and submit your signed contract. Completing these steps will secure your spot on my design calendar.
HOW EARLY SHOULD I BOOK MY INVITATION DESIGN?
Reach out at least 6 months before your wedding day. This allows enough time design, production and mailing. I only take on a limited amount of clients per month. Any later and rush fees may apply. Remember, invitations should be mailed out 8 to 12 weeks before your wedding and even earlier for destination weddings. Please note that the standard recommendation of 6 to 8 weeks is now considered outdated with today's current events.
HOW EARLY SHOULD I BOOK MY SAVE THE DATE DESIGN?
Reach out at least 9 months before your wedding day. This allows enough time design, production and mailing. I only take on a limited amount of clients per month. Any later and rush fees may apply. Remember, Save the Dates should be mailed out 6-8 months before your wedding and even earlier for destination weddings.
THE DESIGN PROCESS
YOUR CUSTOM DESIGN EXPERIENCE
1 // INSPIRATION + LOOK BOOK (timeline: takes approx 1 month)
6 months before your wedding day / event, you'll get two forms: a design form + a info form. I'll use what you share on these forms to create your initial design concept sketch and design color palette. This will be sent to you as a Look Book for you to leave feedback on. The Look Book will also contain a mood board with inspiration images to tell a visual story surrounding your design concept. Once, it has your seal of approval the design work will begin.
2 // DESIGN (timeline: takes approx 1 month)
Once you approve your initial invitation design, I'll get started with your digital design proof. You will get a design approval form to give detailed feedback for each piece of your digital invitation mockup. Your design package comes with 3 complimentary design revisions.
3 // PRINTING + PRODUCTION (timeline: takes approx 1 month)
Once you sign off on your approved design, materials will be ordered and your stationery will be sent to print. Get your stamps ready because I'll be assembling and packaging your invitations. Invitation assembly is included with your design package. Your envelopes will be stuffed in unsealed envelopes. Postage you provide will be placed on envelopes. Upgrades like ribbon will be tied and wax seals will be placed on the back of envelopes. Envelopes will arrive to you unsealed unless a wax seal is added to your order.
4 // MAILING
Invitations will be sent from my studio directly to you three months before your wedding (this timeline depends on you submitting everything on time). Get your stamps ready! Invitations should be mailed to your guests no later than 8-12 weeks before your wedding (6-8 weeks is not the norm anymore!). Save the Dates should be mailed out 6-8 months before your wedding.
HOW LONG DOES CUSTOM DESIGN TAKE?
On average, the design portion takes approximately 1 month followed by an additional 1 month of production. Therefore booking 6+ months before your event is needed.
WILL YOU MAIL MY INVITATIONS TO MY GUESTS FOR ME?
We do not offer mailing services for at this time. Please plan your invitation order accordingly so you can mail your invitations to your guests by your desired send date.
HOW MUCH POSTAGE DO I NEED FOR MY SAVE THE DATES?
Save the Dates are typically under 1 oz so one Forever Stamp is usually enough. However, upgrades like ribbon, envelope liners, wax seals, double thick paper, etc. add weight. Therefore you may need more postage. Be sure to go to your local USPS to weigh one of your suites to make sure you have enough postage.
HOW MUCH POSTAGE DO I NEED FOR MY INVITATIONS?
We recommend a minimum of $1.00 of postage per invitation set to avoid returned mail due to insufficient postage. Upgrades like ribbon, envelope liners, wax seals, double thick paper, etc. add weight. Be sure to go to your local USPS to weigh one of your suites to make sure you have enough postage
DO YOU DESIGN DAY OF STATIONERY? (MENUS, PLACECARDS, SIGNAGE ETC.)
This service is provided as an additional add-on for clients who book their invitation design package with me. I do not offer this service ala-carte.
I DON'T LIVE IN FLORIDA. CAN YOU STILL DESIGN MY INVITES?
Absofreaking-lutely! Most of my engaged couples aren't local. I work with couples all over the United States and even some in the United Kingdom!
WILL YOU SEND DIGITAL FILES FOR ME TO PRINT?
Paper Love Spell believes in providing an exceptional design experience from start to finish. We are passionate about curating the materials for your invitation suite and for this reason we do not offer design only services.
CAN I HAVE A PHYSICAL PROOF OF MY DESIGN?
Physical proofs are available at an additonial cost. Should you request a physical proof, this will be invoiced for depending on the pieces needed. This will also add 2 weeks onto your invitation timeline. Otherwise, please order a sample kit prior to placing your order so you can touch and feel our invitaiton offerings.
WHAT ARE DESIGN REVISIONS?
Design revisions are small changes you'd like to make to your design after providing feedback after your design is presented to you.
You will have the opportunity to make any major design changes needed once you recieve your sketch to make sure the final design is aligned with your vision.
From here, you will have 3 opportunities in the form of "design rounds" to fine tune the final design before it goes to print. This includes small changes to the design that don't require a redesign.
HOW MANY REVISIONS DO I GET FOR MY DESIGN?
In order to keep within your timeline, you are given 3 complimentary revisions with your invitation package.
HOW MUCH IS SHIPPING?
Shipping will be determined at the completion of your project and wil be based on weight and destination. Packages will be sent with USPS tracking and will require a signature upon arrival.
WILL MY INVITATIONS COME ASSEMBLED?
Yes! As a custom client, invitation assembly is included with your design package. Your envelopes will be stuffed in unseaeld envelopes. Postage you provide will be placed on envelopes. Upgrades like ribbon will be tied and wax seals will be placed on the back on envelopes.
Envelopes will arrive to you unsealed unless a wax seal is added to your order.
